30 April, 2018 -
Aragón Open Future, a joint program of Telefónica Open Future and TZIR (Zaragoza's Innovation in Retail Center), has selected the six startups that will enter its second acceleration program focused, this time, on big data and commerce.
In an event held last Wednesday April 18 at TZIR, the 12 pre-selected startups, among the 34 that applied to the program, presented their projects in a 5-minute intervention session. The evaluation committee that selected the startups was composed of members of T-ZIR, Grupo Iberebro, Telefónica Open Future, HMY Group and the Merchants Association of the Historic Center of Teruel.
In this acceleration program, each startup works with a sister store, chain of stores or shopping center during the entire process, with the aim of reaching the end of the route with a pilot implemented at the point of sale.
TZIR works with the focus on the democratization of technological innovation and the digitalization of traditional commerce. The accelerator is the main tool to democratize innovation and in its first edition has already given the first fruits. It has managed to design solutions in which technologies such as: augmented reality, virtual reality, hyperreality or big data are already implemented in stores, chain stores and shopping centers in Aragon.
The first edition of the Aragón Open Future accelerator was won by the Aragonese startup Deusens, which is implementing its augmented reality solution in its sister store Liderlamp, in the store chain Beds and in the Association of Merchants of the Historical Center of Teruel.
Of a total of 34 startups, six have been chosen to be accelerated; three of them coming from Aragon, one from Madrid, one from Barcelona and one from Extremadura. Specifically, it is: Anluck, Blogster App, Idiogram, Canalyticals, Viume and Meraki Codes. With regard to Aragonese companies, Anluck is a startup dedicated to customer monitoring by integrating three concepts: location, type of customers and products purchased.
On the other hand, Idiogram Technologies, has the focus on the development of technologies based on big data, data mining and artificial intelligence for intelligence activities and integrated knowledge management in companies and organizations. Finally, Meraki Codes creates technological devices to improve the customer experience and data acquisition, focusing on improving the service. In Madrid, Blogster APP allows companies to automate the dissemination of content through the network of contacts of their managers and employees. Viume, in Barcelona, is a digital fashion assistant that unites machine learning and professional stylists finds the perfect set for each occasion taking into account the budget set by the customer and their size and tastes. Closing the call, Canalyticals, of Extremadura, help, with the data of the retailer, to have the product in place, time and form reducing the stock and generating impact in sales through Big Data & Machine Learning in retail.
All the chosen startups present ideas that provide solutions to the three Big Data and Retail challenges proposed by Aragón Open Future in this second edition. 30 shops from Teruel participated in the detection of the challenges.
• Know the customer: understand their behavior to offer a personalized experience.
• Online and offline hybridization: the fusion of the physical and digital world in a single shopping experience.
• Optimization of the data collection and exploitation process.
At the end of the program, a Demo Day will be held in which the startups will present their final projects and where the winner will be chosen, who will have the opportunity to implement their solution in shops of the TZIR retail network with financing of up to € 20,000.
