More than 20 startups explore business opportunities in the first "Investors in Love" organized by Telefónica Open Future and T-ZIR in Zaragoza

Zaragoza has become the epicenter of the best innovative solutions based on technology, driven by Telefónica Open Future and the center of innovation in retail, T-ZIR, and has also had the collaboration of the business angels platform, Araban (Aragón Business Angel Network). The Open Future Hubs of all Europe have chosen for this first Edition of "Investors in love" nine startups to make their "pitches" (presentations to investors) as a sign of the great momentum that is made from Open Future, where Telefónica with partners public and private, is committed to open innovation as a business engine and social change. 

The nine finalist startups have presented their disruptive solutions and applications in order to capture investments and business opportunities throughout the workday. From the healthcare sector to retail, the list of selected startups includes: Adwalk, Ancora, BeAmbassador (marketing solution launched from T-ZIR in Zaragoza), Ecapture 3D, Finoa, Invertidos, Emxys, Rehand and TrustElevate. Through visual and brief "pitches" of 5 minutes, the selected companies (8 Spanish and one of English nationality, TrustElevate) have had the opportunity to "seduce" the potential investors present at the headquarters of T-ZIR, with the order to get one or several "one to one" meetings, which have been held in the slots prepared for that purpose. 

For Almudena Moreno, Global Head of Telefónica Open Future, one of the main attractions of the event is that it "benefits everyone". Moreno stressed that "everyone has their space, in which when they collaborate they grow and feed back. 'Investors in love' is celebrated in Zaragoza, but welcomes almost 200 people in which 85% are from the rest of Spain and Europe. " Example of this diversity is the startup TrustElevete of "British origin and led by a woman", highlighted Moreno. From Telefónica Open Future "we promote innovation as a decisive tool for the digital transformation of regions and industries. It is a commitment, real and that today we evidence, "he said. In figures, "we have, for example, investment funds with a presence in 23 countries and an asset management experience valued at 4.5 billion euros", concluded the Global Manager of Telefónica Open Future. 

The scenario of this sample of talent and entrepreneurship - window of opportunity for attracting investment from the participating startups - has been the Hub La Estación, where the center of applied research in retail (T-ZIR) is located. Its director, Carlos López, said that "the digital economy has transformed our world and days like this, in Zaragoza, bring us closer to a new reality in which entrepreneurs and investors seek to connect.
